FC Sol Board Positions up for Election include:
PRESIDENT
- Be the chief executive officer of the Club
- Subject to the control of the Board of Directors, have general supervision, direction and control of the business of the Club
- Preside at all meetings of the members of the Club and at all meetings of the Board of Directors
- Appoint special ad hoc committees as necessary subject to confirmation by the Board of Directors
- Promote the best interests of the Club and its members
TREASURER
- Be the chief financial officer of the Club, responsible for all monies of the Club
- Prepare or cause to be prepared reporting of receipts and expenditures, and payment and receipt of Club funds in a manner as authorized by the Board of Directors
- Responsible to ensure annual audits of the clubs finances is completed by an external firm and provide the audit results to the Board of Directors and placed in the Clubs records by the Secretary
- Co-sign or cause to be co-signed all disbursements made in the name of the Club, if delegated; the delegate has to be approved by majority vote of the board. To include but not limited to:
- - Pay bills as needed within 30 days or as specified by the invoice
- - Process coaches, trainers, and staff payment checks monthly
- Deposit or cause the deposit of all monies and other valuables in the name and to the credit of the Club with such depositories as may be designated by the Board of Directors. To include but not limited to:
- - Collect and track all member payments.
- - Keeps records and deposits all Club payments
- - Keep records and deposit all sponsorships and donations
- Present a monthly financial statement of the Club at the regular meetings of the Board of Directors or when otherwise requested by the Board of Directors and present an annual financial statement of the Club at the annual meeting of the members of the Club
- Be responsible for preparation, review and continuous monitoring of the Club budget
- Reviews and advises on all paid contracts within the Club
VICE PRESIDENT, MARKETING & COMMUNICATIONS
- Oversee the development and implementation of a comprehensive marketing and communications strategy for the Club, including development and distribution of all marketing support materials
- Give or cause to be given, notice of all meetings of the members of the Club, and the Board of Directors, required by the By-Laws
- Prepare or cause to be prepared such communications on behalf of the Club as the Board of Directors may direct
- Oversee all internal and external communications for the Club, to include the writing and submitting of press releases and articles to the local media as well as identifying potential news stories by establishing and maintaining regular contact with board members, coaches, staff, and team managers
- Oversee production of the monthly newsletter, the maintaining of the Club website, and Email accounts
- Promote the reputation of the Club in the community
